Mines with USDT
Mines is a game on a 5×5 board where some of the 25 tiles hide mines. You open tiles one at a time: every gem raises what cashing out pays, and a mine ends the game and takes the stake. You choose how many mines there are, from 3 to 24, and when to stop; whatever you choose, the return to player is 90%.
How to play Mines
- Enter your stake, from 0.10 USDT.
- Choose how many mines the board hides, from 3 to 24. More mines make every gem rarer and pay more for it.
- Press Bet. The mines are placed, unseen, and the stake leaves your balance.
- Open tiles one at a time. A gem raises the multiplier; the next one is shown before you tap.
- Cash out whenever you like after your first gem. If you open a mine, the stake is lost. Either way the whole board is shown at the end.
Multipliers and odds
Cashing out pays 90% divided by the chance of getting that far. With m mines on 25 tiles, the chance that the first k tiles you open are all gems is C(25 − m, k) / C(25, k), so the return to player is 90% at every step, whenever you stop. Multipliers are rounded down to four decimals.
| Mines | 1 gem | 2 gems | 3 gems | 5 gems | 10 gems |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 3 | 1.0227x (88%) | 1.1688x (77%) | 1.3441x (67%) | 1.8157x (49.6%) | 4.5494x (19.8%) |
| 5 | 1.125x (80%) | 1.421x (63.3%) | 1.8157x (49.6%) | 3.0841x (29.2%) | 15.923x (5.7%) |
| 10 | 1.5x (60%) | 2.5714x (35%) | 4.5494x (19.8%) | 15.923x (5.7%) | 979.6483x (0.092%) |
| 20 | 4.5x (20%) | 27x (3.3%) | 207x (0.435%) | 47817x (0.002%) | — |
In brackets: the chance of getting that far. The fewest mines a board takes is 3: with fewer, the first gem would pay back less than the stake (3 mines pay 1.0227x for it).
Stakes and limits
The largest stake follows the first gem’s multiplier, so that one gem never pays more than one round can. A game whose next gem would pay past that is cashed out automatically just before it, and so is a board with every gem found. A game left alone for a day is cashed out for you with what it reached; with no tile open, the stake goes back.
How to verify a board
Where the mines are is fixed by the seeds when the game starts, before you open a tile. Mine k takes the first 4 bytes of HMAC-SHA256, keyed with the secret seed, of “your seed:round number:k”, divided by 232, and picks among the tiles not drawn yet. The secret seed stays locked while your game is on; once it is revealed, anyone can redo the board. The details are on the provably fair page.
Frequently asked questions
What is the RTP of Mines?
90% whatever the number of mines and whenever you cash out: every multiplier is 90% divided by the chance of getting that far.
Can I leave a game and come back?
Yes. The game is kept on the server: reload the page, or open it on another device of your account, and it carries on where you left it. A game left for a day is cashed out for you.
Could the mines be moved after I start?
No. They are placed from the seeds as the game starts, and the secret seed’s fingerprint is published before that. The seed stays secret while your game is on, so nobody can see where the mines are, and once it is revealed anyone can check that they were where the board showed.
Why are there at least 3 mines?
With fewer, the first gem would pay less than the stake: 90% divided by a chance of more than 90%. From 3 mines up, every gem pays at least 1.0227x.
